Iranian designer Mariam Heydari harnessed the use of contrasting cuts and contours to generally positive ends. Her collection flirted heavily with color (bright pinks, saffron yellows). Overall, Heydari demonstrated a keen talent for manipulating fabric through volume, kimono-style folding and ruching, and even pleated details on some asymmetrical separates. Minimalist she is not.
